Studio

Located in Valletta’s historic Jewish quarter, the apartment is on a quiet stepped street and is just a few minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the city’s shops, bars and restaurants.

Ideal for a couple, the space is comprised of a kitchen/diner, bathroom and lounge area - the latter featuring a custom floating steel mezzanine double bed. This compact historic property has been renovated to include classic Maltese details such as terrazzo floors and marble counter tops while blending them with bespoke steel furniture.

The studio is one of eight other apartments in a well-kept block and is on the first floor. Those with mobility issues should be aware that there’s no lift. The space is private and self-contained, thanks to apertures shielded by louvres and traditional hassira (cane blind shades) on the balcony. These can be opened to overlook this balcony and the communal courtyard, and you’ll have use of the shared fourth floor roof terrace too which enjoys beautiful sea views. It’s the perfect spot for a cocktail at sunset.

Indoors, we’ve made sure the kitchen is equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils, as well as a stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster and microwave oven.
The living area is cosy and simply furnished, with a modern settee and television, while overhead, we’ve created a perforated steel crows nest bed. We’ve chosen a great mattress, quality linens and there is also a wall mounted fan to keep you cool in summer. There’s built-in storage for your clothes and soft lighting thanks to quirky modern lamps.

The Neighbourhood

Valletta is a great little town and you’ll find everything is just a few minutes walk from our apartment. Situated on a quiet stepped street, the apartment is located in the city’s historic Jewish Quarter which is a creative, up-and-coming district that will soon host Valletta’s Design Hub. Just a short walk away from your front door you’ll find a mini-market and traditional bakery so stocking the fridge will be easy and convenient - and if you like to eat out then you’ll be spoiled for choice by Valletta’s wide range of restaurants.
If you like to swim, Valletta’s limestone beach is just around the corner at the lower edge of the city and is popular with locals throughout the summer. There’s a ferry service to Sliema which leaves every 30 minutes very close by too, and the island’s main bus terminus is also fifteen minutes walk from our place.
