The Little Mermaid – The Panto Under the Sea

Pantomimes are great for all the family. An enjoyable Christmas tradition, children adore them and love joining in with all the actors! The Little Mermaid is one of two pantomimes that are happening this December, however, this will be a slightly different rendition to the popular Disney movie. Ariel is a mischievous mermaid who dreams about life above the sea. Ariel is joined on this journey by her friends, a forgetful fish, her caring nanny and Prince Rubinu as he ventures on a quest to find his father. But, the evil sea witch Ursula has other plans for these beloved characters. This pantomime will be held at Manoel Theatre in Valletta between the 22nd December and 5th January. Ticket prices start from €20.

Aladdin – The Panto

Pantomimes are extremely popular this time of year which is why we are spoilt with two different shows. We have already been delighted with a movie remake of Aladdin earlier this year by Disney Studios. Now, it’s time to watch the story live in performance! The show tells the story of a poor young man who dreams of becoming a Prince. Luckily, he’s just made a magical new friend in the form of a genie! The genie promises to grant him three wishes. What will Aladdin wish for? This event will be held at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre MFCC (MFCC Malta Fairs and Convention Centre) at Ta’ Qali between the 23rd December and 4th January. Ticket prices start from €12.

There is a wide array of shows to visit next month, most of which are directed with children in mind. Malta is a great country for families and remains an ideal destination all year round.
